About Us
Loon Lake Resort has a deep tradition in Minnesota. Founded in 1928 as Red's Resort, the road to get in and out of the resort was the only access to the point on Loon Lake at the time.
The resort was later purchased and further developed by the Perry family who proudly ran the resort until 2021 when Jay and Judy Malstrom purchased Loon Lake Resort. Jay and Judy work full-time in addition to owning and operating the campground. Their favorite part of summer is getting to meet and develop relationships with campers at Loon Lake Resort.
